Field Trip to Visual Arts and Craft Harbourfront Centre School for Puppet Making and Clay Mask making for Grade 1

On Friday there was field trip to Visual Arts and Craft School at Toronto Downtown. I did Volunteers to her class teacher to manage student and help them out. It was supper fun and I enjoyed it lot. So we started out trip in bus from school to Downtown which was 1 and half hour journey as we stucked in traffic. When we reached there staff welcome all students and took them to big hall of their school. They divided student to 2 parts as there was total 4 class of Grade 1. I was having six kids in my team for whom I was responsible for everything during trip. firstly we started with puppet Show, which kids really enjoyed. Then teachers over their explain kids regarding different kinds of puppet and from different places. How they portray and people use them in stage show etc. etc. After all that they showed kids how to make one. It was simple and easy and kids attempt to make one for their own. Spend around and hour for making puppet and decorating them. I got some pictures, but I am sad that I couden't click for final pic when everything all done, as I was all busy helping 6 kids in my team and then it was too much rush also as we were having very little time. Kids took lunch out in garden as it was full sunny day. they were happy to see CN tower. it was beautiful view from their Garden.

Girls and Boys are on job to Clay Mask making...It was fun...again missed to take pic for clay mask, when it was all done...:(

After Lunch, they took kids to Clay Mask making, where teacher explain them, Why we use mask and what kind of mask we found these days, and how they are made from different material. With mask we can scare people and that we use it on Halloween, we can make people laugh. Through mask we can express our emotions, happy sad, wired, surprise, cry etc. then he showed them how to make mask from Clay. After that kids tried to make their own mask. All kids were very enthusiastic to make their own. You can see glimpse of them in above pic. Again I was very busy that I couldn't took final pic when every thing was done. as it was rush to come back to school and buses were already arrived to pick up all of us. They gave all student mask in shoe box, which they carry with them. Mask and Puppet are all drying in classroom right now, hopefully they will send to home by next week. Will upload pic after that...

All in all I spent my all day last Friday with kids. It was supper busy and fun day. Six kids in my team were good to me. They listen my instruction when I was giving one and ask me when they had any question. I enjoyed help them making puppet and clay mask.

Happy Holi 2014

Happiness is to play Holi with both my girls, putting just kumkum on each other faces. Glad to know that Ananyaa remember's it from last year too and asking me if I got any other color then just red. Well what to explain her, it was my mistake, her baa got some colors from India last year to play holi, but I don't know where I kept it and was not finding one when it was actually needed. She made a face for not having other color, but then she was ok after I explain her. Aaryana was like want to make mess for kum kum and we saved her doing so. Though daddy didn't participate following baa, we 3 enjoy in our way and then posed for picture too. 

To Go or Not To Go for Cricket Night at School !!!

Having a Girl Child, I didn't expect that Ananyaa would be interested to go for cricket night, which is being held by school council. I thought that she is so little to understand that sport, but today morning, she surprise me. She requested me to pay for that which will be $5 per each student. When I say, this sport is more for boys, and there you go, she jumps on conversation, its for Girls too....all my BFF (Best Friend Forever ) BFF can you imagine, she says all my "BFF" is going and I want to go too....some how I agreed to it.

Time is flying and each day she is making me realise that she is growing so fast. She is just 6 but she know our Home Address and Phone #. She remembers Daddy and Mumma cell ph num, when she was in Kindergarten 2. Now she is remembering Phone numbers for her best friend or should I say her BFF :) lolz. Other day I was driving home from other way, and she was giving me direction, where to turn left and right. That makes me amazed, and with that, I am sure that she can give direction to our Home as well.

Dentist Appointment :(

Today was her dentist Appointment and it was very bad day for her and for all of us as well. She left home happily  for her Dentist appointment and came back home too. thing is that she got filling for one tooth and they gave her anesthesia for numbness, so she was not suppose to eat anything accept soft liquids for 2 hours. Doctors also warn her not to bite her lip. but kid is a kid. She was eating her sugar free lollypop which she got from there and she bite her lower lip very badly. she didn't even know she did that due to numbness. When she saw blood coming out so badly she screamed loudly....MOm...MOM...something is happening to me and we all rushed to her. I was heartbroken after I saw her like that in pain. We quickly gave her crushed ice in bag and she was little relieved. I can't see her lip. I just pray to god that things turn her way soon as possible. she get her lip back to normal. I have to go for work today and I left home tensed and worried and with heavy heart for Ananyaa. I google out about bite or chewed lips after dentist appointment and read few comments about it and feel little better.

I seriously cursed myself, that why did i left her for that 10 minutes. I should be staying with her there only and this incident could not have happen. I am so sorry Ananyaa. I am very sorry baby. why did I send her to dentist, her baby teeth are going to fall down anyway, so what was the need for clean up and filling. I should have not make her appointment for it. I grew up without cleanup and my teeth are fine. I am so stressed today and I don't know what to do. I feel like I am a Bad mom. I know that it's imp to have cleanup and filling for her teeth, her oral health, but I am scared now and  I am going to cancel her next appointment which is next month. I don't want to see her in pain again.

School Begins - 4th September

 School Begins for 2nd year Kindergarten on 4th September for Ananyaa..We are all set to go for School....My Sweetheart says....SCHOOL IS COOL Mumma....I am goona see all my friends again and my Class Teacher as well....She is so excited to go for school....

Happy 100th Days of School.

It's 100th day today after she started her School. They all are celebrating in School Today and Ananyaa is Very excited to participate in it.

Parents - Teacher Meet at End of Month for Kindergarten

Parents - Teachers Meet was Interesting over at end of Month. I was so excited to see Ananyaa's Class teacher  to get her updates. When I entered her classroom I was surprised to see, how they have decorated whole room with Kids creative work. They have displayed everything, for past 2 weeks from kids activities, what they did it in classroom, they have also printed photographs playing kids together and sharing things and stick on Wall. I was so happy to see all that. 

When comes to get her updates, her teacher said that she is well behaved child, but little talkative. She also says that she do listen when she ask her to do something. I was having few question about home work and making them learn how to write ABC, like few other parents also had same question, her teacher said, not to make them learn how to print letter. It's all their responsibilities to make them learn. She was just trying to say that parents make them ;earn diff way and they make them learn diff way, learning both way, make children confused, what to follow. So she clearly said me, not to make her write, unless n until she want to do it her own. When we ask for home-work, she said their is no Home-Work for Kindergarten 1st & 2nd year students. thier homework is to play, play with parents, going for walk and look around in environment and point out diff things and they need to learn how to socialize. 

So I guess basically it is Home- Work for Parents to spend more time with Kids, Playing, Outing and Singing and Dancing.

Ananyaa's 1st Day to Kindergarten....

Ananyaa's first day of school was a bittersweet moment. It brings mixed emotions for us...We were Proud and Happy that she is starting School,and also emotional at same time as she is entering in new World, where she will meet different people and make new friends. I kept repacking her backpack and choosing which outfit she wanted to wear for her 1st Day to School.

Today Morning, I was over excited and more was exhausted...I guess I was not ready to take that my baby is starting her School Today and going away from home environment. I got Argument with her grandma for nothing. Daddy call from work and ask is everything ok and is she ready to go or not !!! I was like fighting with him for not being at Home....sorry for doing that.

We were all exicited to drop her at bus Stop for School bus. I was planing to Drop her at School but Ritesh and My Mom stoped to do so...as per them, she might expect that everyday that mom will drop me to School, so better she go in School Bus. Later Daddy surprised us coming to home before she left for school. I was Happy that Daddy came Home leaving everything, and why not, it was Ananyaa's first Day to School.Proud moment for both of us and for her granny.

Finally me and Daddy walked her to School Bus Stop. We were happy, feeling life was good, each moment, each breath was down right perfect....feeling so Proud. I started getting nervous butterflies in my stomach by the time we reached the School bus stop. we have been waiting for this exciting moment for so long, but suddenly as a mom, as we reached there, I wanted time to stand to still. Actually, I think I wanted to turn back the clock. I wanted to run the other way. I wanted to turn back time to grab on to the past (to my 4 year old Ananyaa, to my 3 year old Ananyaa, to my 2 year old Ananyaa, to my baby Ananyaa). School bus came and she board the bus happily, It was one girl who was crying and I feel worried that Ananyaa will too..so Rit's ask me to walk towards home.

We reached home and drive back to her School, as we want to make sure that she was comfortable and not crying. Druing that few mins from home to her School, I was Crying. I got so emotional and I can't stop myself for crying.....

We show her getting down from bus and happily walking to her class room, where her Teacher Mrs. Bertlett was waiting for all her student. Ananyaa was standing in line and me was crying standing away from her. When i went to talk to her, she was saying me " Mumma, See I didn't Cry...I am a Good Girl " and that makes me more cry. I was purely emotional. Sending Ananyaa to kindergarten was an extremely emotional experience for me. I think it stirred up so many different emotions that it resulted in tears. The change was overwhelming that it knocked me down and took my breath away. Instead of fighting the tears, I just allowed myself to BE with my tears....and Daddy was making fun of Mummy...

Her School time is 12.45pm to 3.15 pm. just 2.5 hours, but it was too hard to passed that time today. I was just thinking about her, what she might be doing at school and what not. Just did pass my time doing things for her, we drive to Toys r Us to get her Gift and we bought her Tea Set. Waited for her and then went to pick her up with her grandma to Bus Stop. she was so happy to see us. Walking on the way to home she was talking to me n her granny, what she did today in School...I notice while walking that she came with wrong shoes in wrong leg, and I was smiling. She sounds so Happy and when I ask her, will you go school tomorrow and she Happily ans, yes Mumma....

Ananyaa's Kinder Garden Orientation @ School...

Ya...It was her Kinder Garden Orientation at School Today....and she did ok ok for that.....She was so shy and not getting interact with other kids, not even with Riya her friend. I was bit worried and try to forced her to get minggle up with them, but she was not ready to do so and started crying. May be she was not feeling well that day, that's why or so !!!!

Later when teachers started talking and try to show all parents and kids for their classroom, she seems ok and behaved well. They try to made aware parents what Kids are going to learn, where and how... they gave all of us a tour to Kids Classroom, Jim, Music room, Craft Room and then they made them paly with Play Dough and made them to do other activity. Ananyaa  loved playing play dough and doing craft wrok with her daddy...

At the end they gave each Kids a Gift bag full of some educational toys and some stuff for craft work at home. Basically it was a message to parents, how to make their kids ready to go to school by September.

At home, Ananyaa is so Active for singing and dancing and learing things, singing nursery rhyme by herself and so. but she was so shy to talk to school that day. and I am confused, what should I do ?????

Kinder-Garden Registration for Ananyaa

Yesterday was Ananyaa's Kinder Garden Registration @ Kingswood Drive Public School. She was so excited to visit School, so as me & Ritesh. We have requested afternoon time for her, as I know my baby can't wake up early in the morning. Time flies, she is already 3 now and will be ready to go for School by September 2011.

It's Very Hard for Mommy to think even that her baby will be away from her for few hour, and she will be  entering in her new world.
